performance/site specific, june 2010, Pergola

“Pertugio” is a site-specific work carried out at Sponge Living Space inside a rural house in the countryside of central Italy. The space that I was given was the corridor, a place of passage. My idea was to make this difficult transition for people who passed.
I created an installation/performance: I was lying on the floor at the entry door, covered by a black cloth. To pass the people had to climb over the black “bundle”, but they didn't know that inside it there is a person. All along the corridor I installed branches of trees with leaves that fell from the ceiling, so people had to wade through the middle of this small overturned "forest".
