Antenati è una serie di lavori che presenta figure ancestrali a metà tra l’antropomorfo e la forma astratta. Sono immagini-simbolo che ricordano le rappresentazione iconiche degli spiriti antenati nelle culture tribali, realizzate a scopo protettivo. Allo stesso tempo queste figure potrebbero suggerire forme o entità provenienti da altri mondi, riferendosi al dialogo continuo tra passato, presente e futuro. La mia ricerca spesso si focalizza a sollecitare un immaginario di simboli e archetipi attraverso forme che lo evocano, in questo lavoro ciò è rafforzato anche dalla tecnica utilizzata.
Antenati (Ancestors) is a series of works featuring ancestral figures somewhere between anthropomorphic and abstract. They are symbolic images that recall the iconic representations of ancestor spirits in tribal cultures, created for protective purposes. At the same time, these figures could suggest forms or entities from other worlds, referring to the ongoing dialogue between past, present, and future. My research often focuses on evoking an imagery of symbols and archetypes through evocative forms, and in this work, this is further reinforced by the technique used.
